DOUG MARKLEY - Guitar
Doug started paying lap steel guitar at the age of 7. He recorded 4 spiritual albums with the Joe Clemmer Band, a local music store owner in the Philadelphia suburbs. He formed the band “Elysian Fields” in high school. Then joined the rock band “Cagney” from Blackwood, New Jersey.

He went to the University of Miami School of Music for 4 years. Doug took sight reading lessons from Pat Metheney there. Other students at the time included Bruce Hornsby, Jaco Pastorius, and Steve Morse.

Doug Currently lives with his family outside of Philadelphia
 BRAD DAVIS - Bass
Brad Davis is the most recent bass player with the Markley Band. Brad has recorded and performed with over 100 bands in the Philadelphia area over the last 15 years. He has played hundreds of bars, clubs, and concerts throughout the east coast. Brad's expertise, low power grooves.

Brad has been with the Markley Band for six years. His father Steve is a long time listener and fan of the band. Brad began to play with the Markley Band after sitting in one night. Brad’s playing took a major step when he became a student of Doug. He has worked for UROCK and Vulgar Entertainment under manager Jim Cravero for several years.

 DEAN SOPHOCLES - Keyboard
Dr. Dean Sophocles was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, the son of a professional violinist mother and a dentist father. He is dentist by day and musician by night. Dean began studying both piano and violin at the age of five, and by the age of twelve, he was traveling throughout the US with a young chamber group called the Young Concerto Soloists, led by a veteran Philadelphia Orchestra member, Jerome Wigler. He studied classical and jazz piano with various well known Philadelphia based teachers, as well as briefly with Bruce Hornsby, in a master class setting at the Omega institute in Rhinebeck, New York.  BILL GRAYSON - Drums
Bill has been playing drums professionally for over 20 years.

He relocated in 2000 from Los Angeles to the east coast, Philadelphia metro area.

Main emphasis is on a great groove, feel, and playing for the song.

Bill is "fluent" in all popular styles of music.

Bill Butryn has played and recorded with various rock and jazz bands throughout the northeast. Bill has been with the Markley Band since it's inception.
